Chi Alpha + The Local Church

Working together for the next generation

At Denton Chi Alpha we believe that partnership with the local church is crucial for reaching the next generation. Statistics tell us that 75% of young Christians will walk away from their faith in college. Experience tells us that a healthy community is the key to changing these numbers. That’s where Chi Alpha comes in. But students will eventually graduate and go back to the local church- and those who found Jesus in college will be finding their first church home! We want to make sure that the relationship between Chi Alpha and the local church stays strong. So students have the best opportunity to use these precious college years as a launching pad for their faith and can continue to do great things long after graduation. Denton Chi Alpha wants to serve your students and the over 47,000 others attending UNT and TWU. Here are just a few ways we can work together to reach the next generation.

Campus Days

Students who are attending university often have lots of unknowns. Navigating Admissions or Financial Aid can be daunting. Learning how to adjust to new schedules, new environments, and the college pace of living can be overwhelming.

But it doesn’t have to be!

Denton Chi Alpha is here to help your students prepare to navigate college. Connect with us about helpful tips for high school juniors and seniors, youth pastors and parents about how to transition into college well.

One great way to get started is participating in our Chi Alpha Campus Days. Experience a day in the life of a Chi Alpha students and the difference that participating in campus ministry can make for your student.

High school Juniors and Seniors are invited to join us for Campus Days:

-Take a tour of one of our universities (UNT or TWU)

-Audit a real college class

-Meet with current college students to ask your most pressing questions

-Attend a Chi Alpha Worship Service

-Leave with confidence in navigating the college transition and connections with Chi Alpha groups around the Nation.

Micro Missions

We want to be available to serve at your church!

Micro Missions are a 1-2 day mission trip with a small team of Chi Alpha students ready to serve your church and city. Trips are customized to the needs of the church and have included building projects, kids ministry, worship leading, and community outreach.

Chi Alpha has helped touch our community by helping with yard cleanup. Projects around the church and community outreach has helped the church grow. Going out into the community and passing out flyers and praying for people has been a big success.” - Pastor Charlie at Lakeside AG

We are really grateful to host XA Denton teams as part of our missional outreach initiatives. The students from XA faithfully serve and help us demonstrate the love of Christ in East Dallas. Our community and the ministry is stronger because of our partnership with these teams.” Pastor Seth Henderson- Hope Dallas

Micro Missions are a simple and effective way to meet practical needs within our local churches while building relationships between students and those Church communities.

Local church Connections

Imagine if your church had a way to connect with young professionals who were eager to serve their community and hungry for discipleship.

With Chi Alpha- that is more than possible!

Chi Alpha loves the local church and wants each student to connect with a church community both in and after college. When students graduate, many of them can spend weeks to months looking for a church community in their new city. But that doesn’t have to be the norm.

With Chi Alpha Church Partners we are building a network of healthy churches eager to receive graduates and continue walking with them in their faith.

These Chi Alpha graduates are eager to serve, mission minded, and ready to connect with a church family. The best transitions happen when we can start the relationship before graduation.

By connecting with these young adults as students, local churches have the opportunity to share their heart and vision for the cities they serve and invite students to participate in that vision as well.

Connecting as a Chi Alpha Church Partner is a great and approachable way to start building connections with students today.

We are not habit of just keeping well behaved boys and girls, we are in the business of raising up righteous men and women of God.
